Manufacturers of all machinery which is sold in Europe have to guarantee the safety of their products and issue a declaration of conformity with the Machinery Safety Directive.
The Directive is fully implemented into UK law by means of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 1992 (SI 1992/3073) as amended by The Supply of Machinery Safety) (Amendment) Regulations 1994 (SI 1994/2063) and the Supply of Machinery (Safety) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/831)
AV Technology are a Notified Body under Regulation 18(1) of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 1992.
The appointment includes all machines and components in Annex IV, sections A and B.
Our Notified Body number remains as 1067.
We are also able to assist with the preparation of the Technical Files which are used to demonstrate conformance.
