


Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit Maintenance Engineers fluent in French and English (spoken and written) for employment in Belgium, to either cover a number of regional accounts or based at a fixed location.
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for equipment Mechanical and/or Electrical maintenance activities.
Your mechanical and electrical skills must be outstanding to enable you to provide a First Class service to our customers and satisfy their expectations.
Successful candidates will be qualified to at least HNC in Maintenance, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Technical Knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic or automatism would be an advantage.
You will ideally have 5 to 10 years experience as a maintenance technician in the Food & Beverage, Power, Oil/Gas or Chemicals sectors (where most of our industries are).
Must speak and write fluent French and English for positions in Belgium or France

Continued growth has created a vacancy for a Project Engineer to work on a variety of interesting instrumentation based projects within AV Technology’s Special Projects Group, based in AVT’s Handforth office.
Projects frequently involve on-site measurements of strains, loads, displacements and accelerations, using computer based data acquisition systems and data loggers, followed by the engineering assessment of the data. Projects vary from short-term trouble-shooting services to installation of permanent systems.
As Project Engineer you will work in a small specialist team performing diverse activities such as:
Assist with the preparation of quotations for project work
Assist with the preparation of method statements for projects
Design and configure bespoke instrumentation systems
On-site installation and commissioning of measurement systems
Collection and analysis of data
Report writing
This is an extremely interesting and demanding position requiring global involvement in projects from initial technical enquiry through to project completion. Projects frequently involve a considerable amount of travelling and short periods of time spent away from home, occasionally including international travel.
The successful applicant will ideally have a degree in a relevant engineering or science related subject, preferably with some relevant industrial experience, will have good written and organisational abilities, hold a full driving license and will have experience in the application and use of modern instrumentation and measurement techniques applied to structural monitoring applications. Experience in the on-site installation of strain gauges would be preferred, although specialist training could be provided.

AV Technology Ltd (AVT) in Handforth is looking to recruit a Senior Compliance Engineer/Manager to join its Machinery Safety Team.
Founded in 1976, AVT is a UKAS accredited Notified Body for the Machinery Directive as well as for the Outdoor Noise and Recreational Craft Directives.
As Senior Compliance Engineer/Manager you will perform diverse activities such as:
- Manage AVT’s Machinery Safety Team, associates and subcontractors
- Manage relations with UKAS
- Manage relationships with AVT’s international clients
- Provide machinery safety consultancy and machinery examinations, including for Annex IV machines.
- Perform reviews of TCF documentation for both Annex IV and other machines.
- Expand AVT’s notified body accreditation to include other relevant directives such as the LV and EMC directives
- Ensure full compliance with AVT’s UKAS accreditation and AVT’s QA system
- Arrange visits to strategic international clients
- Perform business development to actively grow AVT’s Machinery Safety and related work
- Recruitment and training of support staff as required as the business expands.
Requirements
The role would suit someone with a hands-on nature and relevant degree in Mechanical, Production or Electrical Engineering, with the ability to work independently and with good organizational and procedural standards.
You will have at least 10 years of hands-on engineering experience, including experience of a wide variety of machinery.
You will be familiar with Health and Safety legislation and will have extensive knowledge of the Machinery Directive and ideally also good knowledge of the Low Voltage and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directives.
Whilst most of the work will be performed from AVT’s Handforth office, you must be willing to travel, including occasional visits to meet with international clients.

As Senior CM Engineer you will be responsible for equipment condition monitoring using Vibration Analysis, Lubrication Analysis and Thermal Imaging.
This role will suit someone living in Aberdeen.
Applicants should be qualified & experienced mechanical engineers, ideally having worked in the oil & gas sector offshore and qualified to BINDT VA1 minimum with 5 years Vibration Analysis Experience.
